Stevenage Educational Trust is a Charitable Trust with a membership of 47 institutions which includes all of the 43 schools in Stevenage and the surrounding villages, Children's Centres, North Hertfordshire College and the Education Support Centre.

With 8 Headteachers and a Children's Centre Manager acting as Trustees the aim of the Trust is to support the best possible opportunities  for the young people and their families who live in the local area.

SET has developed a wide range of activities to support schools.  One is a growing CPD provision that includes:

  • NQT Training
  • Cluster Groups of staff
  • Training opportunities for staff
  • School Direct

SET is managed by Shelagh Mackey.

SET employs 4 School Family Workers who support schools, children and families and organise parenting courses and Network meetings for professionals.

The Family Workers are here to support you with any concerns you may be facing with your child's learning, development and wellbeing.

We can help:

  • Provide information to parents and carers
  • Respond to specific needs within families
  • Encourage parents and carers to become involved in their children's learning

Visit our Resources area for help and advice.
